It's not too late to plant spring flowering bulbs. In fact, you can successfully plant spring bulbs until the ground freezes. But planting by mid November allows more time for the bulbs to establish roots.

You might also consider container planting which allows you to move your flowering pots anywhere you want to add spring color. A planting of 50 tulips in a 24 inch pot will make a dramatic display of color next spring!

For lasting color, mix and match varieties to provide staggered blooms from early March through May.
